DTrace article

I wrote an article about Exploring Leopard with DTrace for MacTech Magazine. Check it out when you get a chance. It was very fun to write because DTrace is just so totally freaking awesome. The most difficult part of writing it was limiting it to "magazine length"—I felt like I could go on for a few hundred pages.

Now that this is out, I'll probably start posting some DTrace fun on this blog as I get time.

Great article, Greg. I liked the way you focused in detail on a specific investigation at the end; it's a terrific example of why DTrace is cool. :-)

I really think DTrace is one of the most interesting things that will come out of Leopard: after one or two years a lot of developers will be very comfortable with it and we'll have found out some pretty fascinating stuff about how the OS and our applications work.

After a couple minutes reading your article, I had to call a guy over to my cube and rave to him about how freakin' awesome DTrace is. Many thanks for the clear and concise intro.
